  2. Tom,
What are the "ladder" type features in this photos...the two rows running diagonally?

  3. Hi Guys, Tom here. Thanks for the posts! After a real estate adventure that started 8 years ago out of Las Vegas I finally got a house in Meridian (Boise) Idaho that I plan to make my "forever house" I will set up all the scopes and unbox meteorites that I haven't seen in a decade. I am still in "Move mode" and Dirk has been posting and maintaining the site. If I take a long time to join in, that is why. Actually, this whole site is Dirk's doing, Thanks Dirk!!!

I do not know for sure what causes the ladder structures. In SaU 001 I have found a visually related structure that looks like a string of characters! I think it's formation is related to the barred chondrule process. (And this is where I go off the rails, but with good company) Contrary to conventional theories which suggest shock events, I think barred chondrules grow. I don't mean like a plant, but like a crystal. Widmanstätten pattern grows slowly over quite some time and I think we are viewing a similar process in a melted stony body.

Please post your ideas, view points and well learned knowledge!

    Thanks again, Tom
